Collection of antique books
This treasure trove, containing over 5,600 monographs, includes some of the most important works of the 18th and 19th centuries. It includes, for example, Entomologia systematica, Emendata et Aucta, secundum: classes, ordines, genera, species by Fabricius (1792), as well as Species plantarum by Linnaeus (1762) and Tractatus de origine lapidum figuratorum by Caroli Nicolai Langii (1709). Not to mention the major works of Buffon and Cuvier and important publications on the history of botany. There are nearly 150 pre-Linnaean titles (before 1753), the oldest of which date back to 1531.
These works can only be consulted by appointment. They cannot be borrowed for home use.
