Seeds and plant macroremains
The study of plant remains of varying ages allows us to imagine and understand the activities that took place in a given place and time (archaeological excavations, charred remains of a hearth, places where food or litter was processed or stored, crime scenes, etc.).
Seeds or parts of current plants (degraded, charred or otherwise) and ancient material help us to identify ancient remains by comparison. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data obtained allows us to understand the importance and use of plants.
