Jérémy Gauthier, research fellow, department of zoology

His research focuses primarily on Lepidoptera and draws on museomics approaches to leverage the wealth of museum collections and address various questions in evolutionary biology. He is particularly interested in insect decline, its effects on genetic diversity, and processes of genetic erosion, within the context of conservation genetics of natural populations.

These questions thus lie at the intersection of evolutionary biology, genomics, and the utilization of museum collections, with the goal of better understanding the dynamics of biodiversity in the Anthropocene and contributing to its preservation.
